Bit late yes but heartfelt...
I don't know about you but I'm broke, no I haven't over spent for christmas... it is a quiet event for me... so why oh why... well I desperately need a new mattress and the sales are on...
I hope a new mattress will support my back and hopefully have a knock on effect with the day to day pain levels...
Sadly most mattress makers just do not make softer pocket sprung mattresses at all... which means if you are under 10 1/2 stone the only way to get a comfortable supportive mattress is to spend a lot more money... in my case a nice natural one made up in Yorkshire...
I think this is a bit bonkers... I'm 9 stone that's not exactly tiny.... I've been using memory foam toppers for years on my medium mattress, which softens it up but really lacks the support my poor spine needs.... and I just can not go on like this... so today I'm off to order a new one for £950 normally £1,600... goodness!
It is going to take 4 weeks to make and arrive, which is just as well giving me more time using the old credit card to pay for it.. I had saved a bit but... well.. not that much...
.
So there we are I've worked out I can do it.. just... without any interest charges... if I don't spend any money for the next two months...
I have a well stocked freezer and cupboards so I won't starve and I've got some things to try to sell on ebay..
Which got me thinking...
Maybe others might be a bit broke too and so why not try organise a little February Creative Swap...
My Little Swap Idea
- A Homemade Creative something(s) - be it Knitting, Crochet, Printing, Sewing, Felting, Jewellery making, creams or lotions etc
- and a little treat too.... Some wool or fabric, chocolates, buttons.... etc
After all it's good to share our talents and we all deserve a treat!!
I do hope some of you may fancy it?
Deadline to draw pairs out (see I'm being hopeful) 1st February with the hope that the swapping will be completed by the end of that month... ish
I'll put all the names in a hat and pull them out in pairs and let everyone know in a post...
Then you can get in touch and decide what you'd like to swap with your partner...

Then I thought I could make up some personally tailored Face Oil (organic base oils and essential oils) to help your face cope with the winter weather for a treat...
