This weeks makes...

I'm loving this trio of colour...

Yes more flowers... this time making a garland...

This is the little doorstop I made, well prepared at the craft group, brought it home to sew... my machine stays firmly at home...

Needs filling... I didn't fancy cat litter, which the group was using, so put out a request for out of date pulses and have been offered some lentils and beans.. great!

Sadly no one was able to help me sort out my foot dilema, to enable me to use my Frister Rossmann cub 4 to do free style embroidery... so I've ordered a foot from Amazon and a book through the library... so fingers crossed!

When I tried without a foot, feed dog down, the bottom thread just didn't want to join in at all...

All very frustrating... it really can't be that hard so if anyone out there can help???

Two little frogs also awaiting the pulse delivery...

On the subject of Frogs... my frogs up at the allotment spawned a couple of weeks ago.
My delight turned to dismay when the snow/ freeze then happened thus killing all the frog spawn...

In years gone by I have found that if one removes this dead spawn, which if left in the pond goes yucky  it does more often that not encourage the frogs to repeat the process... and the birds seem to gobble up the dead stuff...

The frogs in my little garden haven't got round to it yet...

I love this time of year... new life... sowing seeds.. all much later this year but baby mange toute coming up to say hello

and the tomatoes will be ready to be potted up soon...

Wish it would stop raining though... my garden is rather boggy again...

I am have a little gathering on Sunday...

Play and Make with Tea and Cake  and it would be so lovely if it could spread outside too... it will be very cosy if not...

Thanks for popping by...
Till next time

  1. Snap with the free embroidery - I bought a machine specifically so that I could 'drop the feed dog' but can't get the hang of it at all :( Love the colours for your garland - really fresh x Jane

  4. Love you little crochet flowers Cass, I just adore frogs, I'm tempted to have a little pond just so I can grow my own! Unfortunately my cat loves them too and chases them around the garden! :) x

  6. Lovely door stop Cass - why is cat litter used? Excuse my ignorance as I know nothing about the world of door stops! Equally my sewing machine is useless and though I have done some free style embroidery I have not been very happy with it....
I have been planing your seeds in the kitchen last and waiting in anticipation!

    Best wishes

  7. How sad about the frog spawn, such a shame. I've noticed some seeds sprouting now, so excited! Chel x
