First Poppy of 2013...

What a lovely surprise...
When I went out into the garden this morning to top the bird baths up I found this awaiting me...

I love poppies...

Fabulous...

Not much else to report as my spine has been too unstable to go out and about, I just can't get into my car most of the time...

Not able to sew... but have managed the odd row of knitting...

So the beauty in my little garden is keeping me sane...

Finally the Lilac is out...

 The Thrift is back...

This pretty chocolate leafed Buggle is just stunning...

I acquired two new Geraniums last year this beautiful bright pink one and this dark burgundy one with spotty leaves...

I have so many Aquilegia this year, different petal shapes and shades of purple and pink.
I hear that there is an acid green one which I want in my garden... do you have some?

If you have some seeds to swap do let me know I have lots of saved poppy seeds, wild and oriental... and hollyhocks...

This Early Clematis hangs over my kitchen window... I love its simplicity...

I'm missing my trips to my allotment... but tomorrow is another day... till next time I send you all smiles and hope you have some beauty close by to inspire you too..................................................................

  2. Crikey you've got loads more than me - mines waking up very slowly (I wonder who it takes after!) My lilac is out though and I love having it around the house. I love the perennial geraniums and planted one of those burgundy ones last year. Sorry I can't help with the green aquilegia - I'm sure someone else out there will have some. Look after your back x Jane

  3. Such a pretty post Cass! The poppy looks beautiful. Such a special colour. Love your lilacs too. I do have aquilegia's in my garden as well, but only white, pink and purple ones. Unfortunately none in acid green. Sounds like a interesting variety. Hope you will find it.

    Happy week!

  11. Hi Dolly
I have a few greeny white aquilegia. I know I've been a bit useless at sending anything but I do hope to do something about it. George was in the PO here , the man had to telephone to send a small parcel and twice. It's just so mind numbingly complicated. xx
