Free Autumnal Beauty...

A glimpse of what I choose...

Every Year the lovely Jan Guest opens her home for 3 days for a Christmas Contemporary Craft event..
A chance to buy from local makers and raise some money for charity...
Before my spine did its thing I made silver and gold Jewellery and was involved in this very local event so I always make a big effort to go... to catch up and see the new talent Jan has found...

This year I managed to stay for about an hour and a half, chat and buy my raffle tickets but sadly my van Maud was rather too cold to rest in ( I had to replace my old cooker and am waiting for a stainless steel box to be made for it) so because I couldn't lie down I didn't make it to the house opposite that was also full of more Makers work.

The intention was to go there the following day but my body had other ideas...

On Monday Jan rang to say one of my tickets had been pulled out and to come round the following morning to choose a prize... I was very excited...

Each maker gives a item to the raffle... about half the items had already been chosen by the time I got there at 10am... early birds and all that...

But I am thrilled with what I came home with, especially as it was from one of the makers whose work I had missed out on...

Autumn captured so beautifully...
See more of their work here...

This is only the second time I've ever won anything, the first being a handmade make-up bag from the fabulous Jenny from The Custards last year... quality rather than quantity eh!

Bit chilly here so glad I've got some sheepskin boots to keep my tootsies warm... they'll stay on till April... well you know what I mean!

  1. Congratulations for winning such a lovely raffle prize.I love coloured glass and those colours are wonderful. What a shame your body won't allow you to see it all.

  2. I bet that absolutely made your day. By looking at it I think you will be able to travel all the miles in your mind that sadly your body won't allow. I hope so.

  4. That was a beautiful thing to have won, I can imagine a candle behind it would send patterns over the walls. Wishing you a very happy Christmas Cass and hoping that next year your health will be better than now, take care. xx
