Finds and let's Swap

Well what a glorious Sunday... I do hope it was where you were too...

I slept okay last night so was able to go to a boot-sale earlier with my ever faithful old trolley at a nice civilised 11.30am start and we found a few things...

I have many seer sucker tablecloths but this one was too lovely to leave behind...

A pair of rather splendid Knitting needles...

A fabulous  Regency Ware Bin... though the inside is not...

Anyone have any good tips?
I thought wire wool then spray with I'm not sure what...

Some lovely old buttons...

wooden ones

Huge mother of pearl ones..

And a rather unusual one....

I, for one, believe one just can not have too many buttons...

And finally a rather nice large Enamel bowl...

So to the Swap...

Not a lot of takers but I have always thought Quality over Quantity so...

The pairs came out as follows:

Jo from Not tonight Josephine with  Jayne from Northern Mum Down South

and

Moi with Nikki from Tales from Swallow Barn

so ladies let Swap!!

I do hope you have all survived the wind and the rain...

Hugs and smiles to all Cass xx

  1. I always find overnight soaking in biological washing powder or nappysan solution is good for removing rust. . .It tends to seep through spray paint, but maybe you could line with wallpaper and top the paper with a sealant or varnish perhaps? Tis a lovely wastebin, shame not to be able to utilise it xx

  2. You could give the bin a true seventies feel by sticking a SPAR bag unceremoniously in it and replace as necessary! Lovely finds. I too am a sucker for seersucker (do you see what I did there?!!) - it always reminds me of short sleeved summer blouses that tie at the waist on warm Summer days - I don't think I would subject anyone to the sight of my jelly belly nowadays though (sigh) x Jane

  3. I'm particularly taken with the two wooden buttons on the left. Gorgeous. The bin is a problem but I'd agree with your wire wool idea and then perhaps some Astonish? Brilliant stuff. x
