Update, Give away, Shoes and Pinnies...

Hello again...

Firstly heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and kind words it did really help me to feel I wasn't alone...

Well we seem to have finally moved the nerve trapping on... todays treatment has brought me out the other side... thank God... hopefully that will not happen again...  all very challenging but I'm a surviver... though I really was beginning to wonder whether I'd ever be able to dress my lower half again or wear my new shoes...

Yes new Fly London Yags...  I got them to cheer myself up, they were super cheap on Amazon £33, paid mainly with some forgotten credit so they only cost me £7... needless to say I love them...

I'm resting my foot on a old painted / stencilled chair I did about 18 years ago.

It was just as well that I did have three fabulous pain free days between the two nerve trapping episodes otherwise I think even I would have been rather pissed off...

On the Saturday I managed to go to a local Vintage Fair (sorry forgot to take my camera) and found these Pinny beauties...

On the Sunday I managed to say hello to my rather neglected allotment and on Monday I managed to go to my Knit and Natter Group... I felt so Okay I stupidly did some hoovering and put myself out of action for 8 days... Yeah Stupid!

Give Away bit late but...

There were only 2 entries for my Little Craft Pack Giveaway and so I felt it would have been a tad unfair for the loser so I have had double the fun putting two packs together...

So if you could drop me your addressees The Woolly Dog and Northern Mum down South I will post them off to you when I am able to get to the post office...

Now to the Creative Swap does any one else want to join us four??

Me

Northern Mum Down South

Here's the Idea...

My Little Swap Idea

- A Homemade Creative something(s) -  be it Knitting, Crochet, Printing, Sewing, Felting, Jewellery,    creams or lotions etc

- a little treat too.... Maybe some wool or fabric, chocolates, buttons.... etc

After all it's good to share our talents and we all deserve a treat!!

I'll put all the names in a jar and pull them out in pairs and let everyone know in the next post...

Then you can get in touch and decide what you'd like to swap with your partner...

What would you be up for swapping?

I have 925 Silver Jewellery that I have made that I am open to swapping- a bangle, a ring  or maybe I could make a pair or earrings or a necklace for you... Then I thought I could make up some personally tailored  Face Oil (organic base oils and essential oils) to help your face cope with the winter weather for a treat...

Any new takers??

And finally some petals I've been cutting out to add some big flowers to a lovely cord tunic which is my next revamping project on the go...

I'm off to do a bit of knitting bye for now... Smiles Cass x

  1. Those shoes are gorrrrrrgeous. I treated myself to a very reduced pair of Fly boots in the sales and am in love with them - even the box makes me smile! Look forward to seeing the tunic. Take care x Jane

  7. I'm so pleased that you feel so much better Cass, and what a spiffing pair of new shoes! I 'rescued' a pinny that my Nan had made last week from my Moms house. I remember her making the pattern from newspaper then pinning and cutting it out before sewing it together on her beloved Singer treadle machine. It's a very similar style to the first one you pictured...lovely memories :)

I'm not being very creative at the moment, I'm afraid (although I do have plans for new projects this year), but your little swap idea sounds wonderful.

  9. Glad to hear you're able to wear those shoes....brilliant bargain and still with a label attached! Those pinnies are amazing too - they look brand new. Perhaps you could sell them to the BBC costume department for a vast profit! Lovely to be back in the virtual world and able to visit again.
