Patchwork cushion find...

I'm rather pleased... today in a charity shop I found this charming patchwork cushion.. beautifully hand sown with teeny tinny stitches and two different sides..
I had to take the padding out to give it a good soak and it has cleaned up rather well....
My dilemma is do I just replace the filling and sow it up or do I turn it into two round cushions with plain backs.
I'm leaning towards the second idea as I think I'll end up with two rather lovely pads for my two pine chairs.

I also found a lovely pure wool blanket at the weekend, now washed, on my bed keeping me nice and cosy... I love the fact  it is reversible... it's actually green but try as I might it always comes out aqua for some unknown reason...

I've been knitting flowers to turn into broaches, this will be a spiky Dailia when it is sown up... not sure it shows up that well but the petals are 3 lengths...

Crocheting egg cosies for found egg cups...

....and knitting some fingerless gloves using 4 needles with some wool I recycled from an old cardi...

Next over the knee socks... maybe...

I just love these flowers, not sure what they are, I am useless at keeping labels which is a shame but this was still flowering up until  a week or so ago before the really heavy frost and ice.

I'll miss them till they come again...

  1. Very busy bee, I love the patchwork pads. Very sweet, I just bought some material which would make lovely patchwork.
My sock making is moving along, it's challenging. Off to bed now, goodnight!
